The Bonding Warehouse

The Bonding Warehouse on the River Ouse in the City of York was a derelict former bar and restaurant that had been vacant since the city's worst flooding in recent history in 2000. Grantside acquired the building in 2012 and with a redevelopment plan to restore, refurbish and extend the building into a modern mixed use building of apartments and offices.

The building was Grade II listed and within a conservation area and suffered from high flood levels from the adjacent river.

Grantside developed a flood protected scheme allowing the building to be developed and brought back to beneficial use, development commenced in 2013 and completed in June 2014.

Prior to completion of the building all of the office space was let and two of the apartments were sold off plan, one of which was the first £1 million apartment in York - setting a new standard in luxury living.

Grantside relocated its headquarters into the building at Practical Completion and the scheme has received much praise from the City and neighbours.
